Muchimaro‘s There Is Also a Hole in the Student Group! (Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!) 4-koma manga is receiving a TV anime adaptation. A teaser visible and announcement video have been launched.

Like final 12 months’s animated PV for the manga, the TV anime is a Passione manufacturing. The principle employees consists of:

• Director: Naoyuki Tatsuwa (PV chief director, Nisekoi)
• Character designer: Ryo Imamura (PV storyboard artist, unit director, character designer et al., Onimai character designer et al.,)
• Series composer and scriptwriter: Masahiro Yokotani (Re: ZERO collection composer and co-scriptwriter)

There Is Also a Hole in the Student Group! is a slice-of-life comedy that revolves round a barely unusual scholar council. The Kodansha-published title debuted in Weekly Shonen Journal in 2022 and has 9 tankoubon volumes as of March 2025.

The manga was the 2023 winner of the Subsequent Manga Awards’ print manga class. On March 25, 2025 JST, it was introduced that the collection had over 1.5 million copies in circulation. 

The manga’s animated trailer, which was launched in July 2024, is at present the Shonen Journal YouTube channel’s hottest video with over 3.6 million views.
