The Toilet Bound Hanako-kun anime will proceed past Season 2, as a sequel has been announced with a July 2025 Japanese broadcast premiere window.
A teaser visible drawn by the manga’s AidaIro was launched as effectively.
The Toilet Bound Hanako-kun manga started serialization in Sq. Enix’s Month-to-month G Fantasy in 2014 and has 23 tankoubon volumes as of December 2024. Yen Press describes it as:
“Hanako-san, Hanako-san…are you there?” At Kamome Academy, rumors abound concerning the faculty’s Seven Mysteries, certainly one of which is Hanako-san. Mentioned to occupy the third stall of the third ground women’ lavatory in the old fashioned constructing, Hanako-san grants any want when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving highschool lady who desires of romance, ventures into this haunted lavatory…however the Hanako-san she meets there may be nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy’s Hanako-san…is a boy!
The anime’s first season aired in 2020. A brief anime adaptation of the After-school Hanako-kun spin-off premiered in 2023 and returned for a second season in 2024.
